API KISS collapses a drawer full of small third-party integrations into one gateway with one key. The catalogue is deliberately mundane and that is the pitch: IP lookup, SMS and flash SMS, crypto prices, time, password generation, company registry lookup, email validation, QR codes, WHOIS, phone lookup, stock photos, weather and UUIDs. Any one of those is a twenty-minute integration; fifteen of them is a week of account creation, key rotation and vendor-specific error handling, and that week is what the product sells back to you. The routing model underneath is more thoughtful than the flat catalogue suggests. Read operations that do not mutate anything — a weather lookup, a stock quote — are fanned out to several upstream providers simultaneously and the fastest response wins, which turns provider latency variance into a floor rather than a lottery. Write operations that do mutate something — sending an SMS or an email — pick one provider at random and fall back to alternatives on failure, so a single upstream outage degrades rather than breaks. Billing is pure consumption: one credit per request, one cent per credit, credits never expire, no monthly floor and no auto-renewal. Failed calls are not billed. Twenty-five free credits arrive at sign-up without a card, which is enough to integrate and test end to end.
