AirCode is a browser-based Node.js runtime built for the specific problem of shipping backend actions for custom GPTs and similar AI assistants without standing up infrastructure. You write functions in the browser, with a built-in database and file storage available immediately, and deploy production-ready APIs with a single click — no local toolchain, no config files, no deployment pipeline. The framing on the homepage is 'build and ship your GPTs in a coffee break', and the reason that is plausible is that the awkward part of a GPT action is rarely the logic; it is having somewhere to put it, an HTTPS endpoint with a valid certificate, and somewhere to persist state between calls. AirCode covers all three by default. Debugging is first-class rather than log-scraping, with online logs and version history on paid plans, and the platform supports scheduled tasks so a function can run on a cron rather than only on request. There is a request-mocking feature for testing against real captured requests, and a documented examples gallery to start from. For teams, dedicated clusters and vector search in the database are available on the custom tier. The free tier is generous enough to actually ship on: three projects, 100,000 function requests, 1GB database and 2GB file storage, with HTTPS by default.
