The two-seat minimum doubles the entry price
Team reads as $19 and bills as $38; Business reads as $34 and bills as $68. Solo consultants who want team-grade features have no path to them — the only single-seat paid plan is Premium, which deliberately excludes the collaboration layer.
Team is cheaper per seat than Premium
$19 against $20 monthly, $15 against $16 annually. Two colleagues each holding a Premium subscription are paying more for less. Anyone administering a handful of individual Premium seats should consolidate; the saving is small per seat but the capability jump is not.
“Limited use” is doing real work on Free
Advanced summaries and Ask Fathom appear on the free plan, but metered. That is what makes Free feel unlimited and still convert: recording is genuinely uncapped, while the AI features you come to depend on are the ones that run out.
