Free Dola AI Alternatives in 2026
Most "Dola alternatives" pages still compare Dola's free tier against everyone else's. There is nothing to compare. Checked on 28 September 2026, heydola.com has no A record — the zone is still delegated to ByteDance's nameservers and the domain is paid through March 2027, but nothing is served from it. Dola was withdrawn, not rebranded. Here are the four calendar tools that will still take a signup today and cost nothing to start, and an honest note about the one thing Dola did that none of them do.
Dola is discontinued
ByteDance pulled the hosting in November 2025 (zone serial 2025111100) while keeping the domain; the AI calendar assistant is no longer available on any front door. Nothing on this page can be signed up for any more — the prices below are kept as a record of what Dola used to cost, not as an offer. Verified 2026-09-28.
Where Dola users went →Quick Answer
Pick by which part of Dola you are actually replacing:
- It moved things around without me asking: Reclaim.ai — Free forever, 5 AI Agents
- People booked time with me: Cal.com — free forever, unlimited event types, self-hostable
- I want the calendar next to my work: Notion Calendar — bundled with Notion's $0 Free plan
- One free booking link, nothing else: Calendly — always free, one event type
- I texted it from WhatsApp: no free successor exists — see the FAQ, we are not going to pretend otherwise
- Do not assume these are free: Motion ($19/seat/mo) and Morgen (USD 15-30/mo) both have trials, not free plans

I built one — list it →What Actually Happened to Dola
Dola was an AI calendar assistant with deliberately no interface of its own. You added it to WhatsApp, Telegram or LINE, sent it a sentence — "move Friday's standup to Monday morning" — and it wrote the change into Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, confirmed it, and reminded you later. It sold a Free tier limited by events per month and a Pro plan at $9.99/month for unlimited scheduling.
Checked on 28 September 2026, none of that can be bought. heydola.com has no A record whatsoever: curl does not fail to connect, it fails to resolve. www.heydola.com is the same. The interesting part is what is still there — the zone remains delegated to ns1.bpldns.com and ns2.bpldns.net, the SOA contact is dnsadmin.bytedance.com with serial 2025111100, and registry whois reports the domain ACTIVE with CSC Corporate Domains, expiring 7 March 2027. A lapsed domain looks nothing like this. This is a company that renewed the name, kept it on its corporate registrar, and pulled the hosting — the serial dates that change to November 2025.
No shutdown notice was published that we can find, which is why so many roundups still list Dola's $9.99 plan as a live option. If you were a Dola user, your events are not lost: Dola wrote into your Google or Apple calendar rather than storing your schedule itself, so everything it created is still in the calendar it synced to. The one piece of housekeeping worth doing is revoking Dola's calendar access in your Google or Apple account settings, because that grant does not expire when a product does.
The harder question is what to replace it with, and the honest answer has a hole in it. Dola's differentiator was not AI scheduling — Reclaim and Motion both do that better. It was that you never opened an app. Nothing in the list below is drivable from a chat thread. We are ranking on what the free tiers actually give you, and flagging that gap rather than papering over it.
4 Free Dola Alternatives You Can Sign Up For Today
Reclaim.ai
Free foreverThe closest thing to Dola's "it decides for you" behaviour that still has a free plan
Best for: The part of Dola you will actually miss: something that reshuffles the week without you opening a calendar grid
✓ Strengths
- •reclaim.ai/pricing prints the free row as "Free forever" with 5 AI Agents — an ongoing allowance, not a trial
- •Defends focus time and habits against meeting creep, which is the closest published behaviour to Dola resolving conflicts on its own
- •Paid tiers are seat-priced from $10, so the step up from free is small if the free agent count runs out
- •Already in the AISO catalogue with a full tool page
✗ Limitations
- •5 AI Agents is the free ceiling; the automations are the product, so this is the limit that bites first
- •Additional capacity is sold in packs on top of a seat (the page lists 3-packs at $8-$10/month), so the real cost is seat plus packs, not just the seat
- •Google-calendar-centric — if your life is in Apple Calendar this is a worse fit than Dola was
- •No WhatsApp, Telegram or LINE interface at all
Cal.com
Open sourceFree forever with no event-type cap, and you can self-host the whole thing
Best for: Letting other people book you without paying Calendly, and for anyone who wants the code
✓ Strengths
- •cal.com/pricing gives the free individual plan unlimited event types and unlimited calendar connections — the two things Calendly's free plan caps at one each
- •Open source and self-hostable, so the "third party can read my calendar" objection that applied to Dola has an actual answer here
- •The free row names 1-click import of Calendly events, so switching costs roughly nothing
- •Email AND SMS notifications on the free plan
✗ Limitations
- •Free is one user — the moment a second person needs shared availability you are on Teams at $12/user/month
- •Round-robin, routing forms, booking analytics and removing Cal.com branding are all paid features
- •Solves a different problem from Dola: it collects bookings from other people, it does not manage your own day
- •Self-hosting is only free if your time is
Notion Calendar
Free at $0 per member/month, and the one on this list you may already be paying for
Best for: People whose actual complaint about calendars is that the calendar is in a different app from the work
✓ Strengths
- •notion.com/pricing lists Free at $0 per member/month for individuals — Notion Calendar is bundled, not an upsell
- •Events sit next to the doc or database row they belong to, which removes the copy-paste step Dola removed a different way
- •Free plan covers an individual's projects with no time limit
- •If your team already pays for Notion, the marginal cost of this is zero
✗ Limitations
- •Notion AI is metered separately — free to try, then $10 per 1,000 monthly credits — so the AI part of "AI calendar" is not free at volume
- •The Free plan is explicitly for individuals; collaboration limits start once a second member joins
- •No conflict resolution, no habit defence, no natural-language scheduling over chat
- •Heavier to live in than a calendar app if you do not already use Notion
Calendly
A genuinely free booking page — capped hard at one event type and one calendar
Best for: One recurring meeting type — a 30-minute intro call — that you want strangers to be able to book at no cost
✓ Strengths
- •calendly.com/pricing marks the free plan "Always free", so this is not a trial that expires
- •One event type is enough for the single most common use case, and the booking page is customisable on free
- •Widest integration surface of anything here — most tools already speak Calendly
- •The browser extension is on the free tier
✗ Limitations
- •One event type and one calendar connection is the tightest free cap in this comparison — Cal.com gives both unlimited at $0
- •Automations, multiple calendars and unlimited event types all start at Standard $10 per seat/month
- •The page notes seats are required for users to connect calendars and host meetings, so "free" does not scale to a team
- •Does not manage your day at all — it only lets other people put things in it

Add it to the AI scheduling category — a free listing publishes after review, and it is the same page ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google read when someone asks for AI scheduling tools. Want it live in minutes with a Verified badge instead? That option is on the form, one-time, no subscription.
Two Tools Every Other List Calls Free (They Are Not)
Motion
No free planOften recommended as the Dola replacement, and it is the best functional match for autonomous rescheduling — but usemotion.com/pricing shows no free plan. Pro AI is $19 per seat/month and Business AI is $29 per seat/month on the annual toggle (7,500 and 15,000 credits per seat per month respectively), with a trial rather than a free tier.
Motion pricing breakdown →Morgen
No free planAlso frequently listed as free. morgen.so/pricing opens with "Start with a 14-day free trial" and prices Pro at USD 30/month billed monthly or USD 15/month billed yearly; Teams is USD 25 or USD 10 per seat with a two-seat minimum. There is no free row on the page.
Dola vs the Free Alternatives: What Actually Differs
| Capability | Dola (discontinued) | Best Free Option | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Can you sign up today | No — heydola.com does not resolve | Reclaim.ai, Cal.com, Notion, Calendly: all four, yes | Checked 28 September 2026 |
| Free tier exists | Formerly yes (limited events/month) | All four have one; Cal.com's is the least capped | Motion and Morgen do not |
| Drive it from WhatsApp / Telegram | Yes — this was the whole product | None of them | The one Dola capability with no free successor |
| Reschedules your week for you | Yes | Reclaim.ai, on the free plan, capped at 5 AI Agents | Motion does it better, at $19/seat/mo |
| Let other people book you | Partially | Cal.com — unlimited event types at $0 | Calendly free caps this at one event type |
| Self-hostable | No | Cal.com | Answers the calendar-access objection outright |
| Apple Calendar as a first-class target | Yes | Weak across all four | This field is Google-Calendar-shaped |
Dola's status established by DNS and registry lookup on 28 September 2026 (no A record on heydola.com or www.heydola.com; zone delegated to ns1.bpldns.com / ns2.bpldns.net; SOA dnsadmin.bytedance.com serial 2025111100; whois ACTIVE, CSC Corporate Domains, expiry 2027-03-07). Reclaim.ai, Cal.com, Notion, Calendly, Motion and Morgen tiers read from reclaim.ai/pricing, cal.com/pricing, notion.com/pricing, calendly.com/pricing, usemotion.com/pricing and morgen.so/pricing the same day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Dola AI shut down?
Yes. Checked on 28 September 2026, heydola.com has no A record at all — curl returns "Could not resolve host: heydola.com", and www.heydola.com behaves the same way. This is not a DNS lapse: the zone is still delegated to ns1.bpldns.com and ns2.bpldns.net, its SOA contact is dnsadmin.bytedance.com with serial 2025111100, and registry whois shows the domain ACTIVE with CSC Corporate Domains and paid through 7 March 2027. A company that keeps a domain for another eighteen months and serves nothing from it has retired the product deliberately.
What happened to my events if I used Dola?
They are almost certainly fine. Dola's design was to write into Google Calendar or Apple Calendar rather than store your schedule itself, so the events it created live in the calendar it synced to and are still there. What is gone is the assistant, not the data. There is no export to perform — open the calendar Dola was connected to and you have everything. Revoking Dola's calendar access in your Google or Apple account settings is still worth doing, since the grant outlives the product.
Is there a free replacement I can text like I texted Dola?
Not that we can point at honestly. That was Dola's actual differentiator — a calendar assistant with no UI, driven from WhatsApp, Telegram or LINE — and none of the four free options here replicate it. Reclaim.ai comes closest on behaviour (it reshuffles your week without being asked) but you drive it from a web app, not a chat thread. We would rather say so than pad this list with a tool that does not do it.
Which free plan is least restricted?
Cal.com. Its free individual plan carries unlimited event types and unlimited calendar connections at $0, where Calendly's free plan caps both at one. Reclaim.ai's free plan is the most capable in kind — 5 AI Agents doing actual automation — but 5 is a real ceiling because the agents are the product. Notion's Free plan is $0 per member/month and Notion Calendar is bundled with it, but Notion AI is metered separately at $10 per 1,000 monthly credits once the trial credits run out.
Is Motion free?
No. usemotion.com/pricing read on 28 September 2026 shows Pro AI at $19 per seat/month and Business AI at $29 per seat/month on the annual toggle, with 7,500 and 15,000 credits per seat per month. There is a trial, not a free tier. It is listed on this page anyway because it is the best functional match for what Dola did autonomously — you should just know it costs money before you click.
Why does AISO Tools still have a Dola pricing page?
Because the searches did not stop when the product did. People are still looking up "dola ai pricing" — it is the most-visited vendor pricing page on this site — and a page that quietly 404s teaches them nothing. So the page stays, the former Free and $9.99/month plans are labelled as unpurchasable rather than deleted, and a banner says the product is discontinued before any price appears. Dola is recorded in our discontinued-tools registry, which a build gate reads to make sure no page anywhere on the site is still recommending it as a live option.
