x402vps.comAbout x402vps
x402vps rents Docker containers to AI agents by the hour, paid in USDC on Base mainnet, with no signup, no API key, and no dashboard — the agent's wallet is its identity. The flow is built around the HTTP 402 Payment Required status code: the agent POSTs to /api/create with a plan and a lease length, the server responds with a 402 and a USDC payment challenge, the agent signs an EIP-3009 transfer and retries with proof, and the container is provisioned. No human is involved at any step. Four plans scale from ATOM at $0.01/hr (0.1 vCPU, 256 MB RAM, 2 GB disk, no internet — for isolated scripts) through CELL at $0.02/hr and NODE at $0.04/hr up to CORE at $0.08/hr (1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB disk, 2 GB/hr bandwidth — sized for headless browsers). Ten prebuilt images cover alpine, httpie, sqlite, python with requests and BeautifulSoup, node with puppeteer-core, Go, a Chromium and Playwright image, a data-science image with pandas and scikit-learn, ubuntu, and rust, each with a minimum tier; you can also pass any Docker Hub image at the cost of a slower cold start. Exec calls are always free — you only pay for lease time. Security is deliberate: SMTP, outbound SSH, mining pools, IRC and C2 ports, netcat, socat, and reverse shells are blocked on every tier, and all Linux capabilities are dropped.
