Uptimepage is uptime monitoring and a public status page in one product, with the whole codebase published on GitHub under the AGPL so the self-hosted path is a genuine alternative rather than a marketing gesture — a docker compose up gives you unlimited monitors with no plan, no seat count and no account with the vendor. Checks run every minute from several regions and cover eight probe types: HTTP, TCP, DNS, TLS, ping and browser login flows among them, with alerting to Slack, Discord, Telegram, PagerDuty, SMS, email and webhooks. The detail that earns it a place in an AI-tools catalogue is that API and MCP access are included on every tier including the free one, alongside a Terraform provider, so monitors can be managed as code or driven by an agent rather than clicked into a dashboard.
