Syften is a keyword-alert service that watches online communities for mentions and surfaces them fast enough to act on. The coverage is the point: rather than monitoring the open web or news, it watches the places where buying conversations actually happen — Reddit, forums, Stack Exchange, Hacker News, podcasts, and optionally Twitter and YouTube on higher tiers. Filters are search queries you define for whatever you want to track, and the first thing a new account sees is who mentioned the filter term in the previous sixty days, which turns evaluation into an immediate answer rather than a wait. The AI-relevant part is the filtering layer on the paid tiers: raw keyword matching on a term like your product name produces heavy noise from unrelated usages, and Syften's AI filtering is what makes a broad query usable. Higher tiers add API access, webhook support and a Slack integration, so a mention can trigger an automation — the vendor's own customer testimonial describes routing matches through Zapier to respond instantly. The intended jobs are competitive monitoring, catching support issues raised outside your own channels, and finding threads where being genuinely helpful is a distribution channel.
