SQLPad is an interview-preparation platform for data roles that combines a large question bank with in-browser execution engines and a layer of AI career tools. The core of the product is 230+ interview-style coding questions drawn from the kinds of problems asked at large tech employers, organised two ways: by SQL operation (single-table SELECT/WHERE/ORDER/LIMIT, aggregation with COUNT/SUM/MAX/GROUP BY, IN/BETWEEN/LIKE/CASE WHEN, multi-table INNER and OUTER JOIN, UNION, window functions) and by company, with 23+ company-focused sets covering employers such as Airbnb, Amazon, Meta, Google, LinkedIn, Netflix, Stripe-adjacent fintechs and more. Four practice engines are available — Postgres, MySQL, Python and R — and questions run against realistic sample datasets rather than toy tables, so a candidate is writing the same shape of query they would write on the job. An anonymous playground lets a visitor solve a sample question on the marketing page before creating an account. Around the practice bank sit structured courses, a public leaderboard and a hall of fame. The AI tier adds a mock interview that gives instant feedback, a resume optimizer that reads a job description and tailors an existing resume against it, a resume builder with AI writing actions, and generators for cover letters and follow-up messages. The product is aimed at individual candidates preparing for analytics, data science and data engineering interviews rather than at employers running assessments.
