Sluqe is a voice-note app whose stated design goal is the part most transcription tools skip: retrieval months later. Recording, transcription with speaker labels, summaries, highlights and action items are all present, but the vendor frames those as table stakes and argues that a transcript from six weeks ago is useless when you need one specific thing a professor or an interviewee said. The answer is a persistent memory layer indexed across every recording in the account, queried in natural language — asking what a named person said about a topic returns the exact moment, plays the audio from that timestamp, and surfaces related recordings alongside it. That cross-recording memory is the feature the product leads with and was recently extended. The capture surface is broad for a tool at this price: native apps on iOS and Android, desktop apps for macOS and Windows, a web app, and browser extensions for Chrome and Safari, plus import of existing audio from a device library. Typical material is lectures, interviews, meetings and half-formed voice memos. Follow-up tracking pulls action items out of recordings into a reminders view that keeps items visible long after the recording itself has been forgotten.
