Slashit is a text expander for Mac and Windows that folds in three adjacent jobs most people currently do with three separate utilities: snippet expansion, clipboard history, and an AI rewrite that fires in place. Typing a slash command expands a dynamic template — not just static text but a template with fillable variables, so a proposal intro or a support macro adapts to the specific recipient rather than needing a manual edit after expansion. Clipboard history covers the other half of the same problem, retrieving the thing you copied four items ago instead of copying it again. The AI layer rewrites a highlighted sentence wherever you are typing, which is the right place for it: rewriting in a chat window and pasting back is the friction the feature exists to remove. The audience framing is a list of people who reply for a living — freelancers, founders, support teams, sales, managers, marketers — and the buying decision usually reduces to whether the free tier suffices, which is unusually likely here: it is permanent, needs no card, has no trial expiry, and includes dynamic templates, snippets, clipboard history and two hundred AI credits a month.
