Repaint builds websites by conversation, with one design decision that separates it from the crowd of prompt-to-site tools: it starts from material you already have. It can import content from any public website regardless of how that site was built, and can also read social profiles and uploaded files, then interview you, research you online and generate a custom site from that source material. For the very common case of a small business with a dated but content-rich website, that is a materially different starting point from a blank prompt — the copy, services and structure already exist and the redesign is a transformation rather than an invention. After generation, every element remains editable by asking the AI in plain language, and the company's stated direction is to merge traditional website-builder editing with AI coding-tool behaviour rather than picking one. The free tier is unusually workable for evaluation: unlimited websites, publishing on a Repaint subdomain with Repaint branding, and a weekly rather than one-time AI allowance, so an abandoned project can be picked up again the following week without paying. Paid tiers are cut on custom domains, branding removal and AI usage volume rather than site count, and both include optional pay-as-you-go credits for heavy editing periods. Annual billing is offered on both paid plans.
