reap turns long-form video — webinars, interviews, podcasts, recorded talks — into the short, captioned, localized clips that social platforms actually reward. What separates it from the crowded AI-clipper category is the two things it does after the clip exists. First, prompt-first clipping: instead of asking a black box for 'the best moments', you tell it what you want — find every product mention, extract the hot takes, cut for a specific audience angle — and it clips by intent rather than by generic highlight detection, using multi-signal analysis of faces, vocal tone, pauses and pacing. Second, localization is a first-class output rather than an afterthought: voice dubbing in 80+ languages, translated subtitles across 100+, and timestamped exportable transcripts. Around that sit the production pieces you would otherwise assemble yourself — 50+ animated caption presets, auto-reframe to 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, text-based editing of the timeline, saved brand templates, multi-video merge, an audiogram maker for podcast audio, and a scheduler that publishes the finished clips to each platform. The whole pipeline is addressable programmatically through an API, a CLI and an MCP server, which is the part that makes it usable as infrastructure inside someone else's product rather than only as a web app.
