OriginBrief produces weekly research reports from a set of primary sources the user selects rather than from an algorithmic feed. The user picks the sources they trust — company blogs, research papers, regulator pages, government documents, press releases — and defines a theme. OriginBrief then checks those sources every week, reports what changed since the previous report, and links every claim back to the source it came from. The vendor is explicit about what it does not do, and that negative space is the product's positioning: no algorithmic feeds, no algorithmic recommendations, no sponsored sources. Each report leads with key points, then the important changes since the last report, then the linked sources, in a format designed for repeat weekly reading rather than one-off research. A sample report is published so a prospect can read the real output before signing up. Onboarding produces a baseline report within 24 hours of adding sources to a theme, with weekly cited updates following. Plans are metered on the number of research themes monitored and the number of official sources per theme, plus an allowance of instant baseline reports per month — a structure that fits the actual unit of work, since a solo founder tracking one market and a consultant tracking several regulatory areas differ in themes rather than in usage.
