Mindsmith

About Mindsmith

Mindsmith is an eLearning authoring tool built around an AI agent rather than around a timeline or a slide deck. Source material — a document, a policy, a manual — is brought in and the agent shapes it into a lesson tailored to stated learning objectives. Crucially for instructional designers, the output is not a black box: storyboards keep the author in control, and the agent can be instructed to follow the source verbatim or to reshape it, with custom skills built to tune the agent to a particular house style or pedagogical approach. Beyond static lessons the platform produces animated video from content, converts existing video, and generates live AI-driven conversations as an interactive practice format. Sharing covers the formats corporate L&D actually needs: link, embed and SCORM, so courses drop into an existing LMS. Translation handles multi-language rollout, accessibility is a named feature area, and analytics report engagement and performance. Integrations connect the tool into surrounding systems. Pricing is per author, which is the correct unit for an authoring tool, with learners always free and educators given a standing discount — a structure that makes the tool viable for a single freelance instructional designer as well as a team. The vendor cites 16,000+ eLearning designers, case studies with Laing O'Rourke and Van Den Bosch, and positions explicitly against EasyGenerator.
