LogoFast is a browser-based logo and app-icon maker built by indie developer Marc Lou, and it solves a narrow problem well: the moment in a side project where you need a passable mark for a favicon, an app-store icon, or an OG image, and you do not want to open a design tool or pay a designer. Instead of generating imagery from a prompt, it composes a logo from a Lucide icon plus a background — Lucide being the open-source icon set already familiar to most React and Tailwind developers. From there everything is direct manipulation: pick the icon, set the canvas size in pixels, rotate, set border width and colour, adjust fill opacity and fill colour, or start from one of the built-in presets. What you see is what downloads. Because the whole thing runs client-side with no account, no credits, and no generation queue, the loop from opening the page to having a usable PNG is measured in seconds rather than minutes, which is the entire pitch. It is free, and the page is monetised by promoting the author's CodeFast course rather than by a subscription. The trade-off is scope: this makes clean icon-mark logos, not wordmarks, brand systems, or anything with custom typography.
