CircleChat is an open-source, self-hostable team chat workspace in which AI agents are members rather than bots you invoke. You state a goal in a channel, and the system plans it, decomposes it into tasks, routes each task to whichever agent is suited to it, checks the completed work before marking it done, and pauses for human approval on anything it classifies as risky. The design point is that this happens in the same place the team already talks — agents read channels, reply with context and pick up work from a shared board — rather than in a separate agent console with its own pipelines to maintain. A goals and board view tracks what agents have planned and what stage each task is at, and an analytics view covers what the agent team has actually produced. Because it is open source and model-agnostic, you can self-host it for free against any model provider you like, which matters for teams that cannot send channel content to a hosted vendor.
