ChatFlowchart generates editable diagrams from text and, more distinctively, recovers editable diagrams from images. Paste a process description, bullet list or rough notes and it lays out steps, decisions, branches, relationships and roles as a real diagram rather than a picture of one; you then refine it by chat, asking it to rename nodes, add steps, simplify branches or rewire connections. The image path takes a screenshot, scan, PDF, JPG/PNG export or a photograph of a whiteboard, detects the shapes, arrows and labels, and rebuilds them as editable objects — which addresses the specific annoyance of inheriting a diagram nobody has the source file for. Supported outputs go well past the flowchart: tree diagrams, probability trees, ERDs, Hasse diagrams, quadrant charts, DFA diagrams and graphic organisers. Export targets are the ones that matter for handing work onwards — PNG, SVG, PDF, Draw.io-compatible files, Mermaid code, Excalidraw and shareable links — plus an animated flowchart video for presenting a workflow. The core text-to-diagram path works with no signup and no card, with the free tier limited on monthly generations, model access and conversation length, and PNG exports watermarked. Billing runs through Paddle, which handles receipts, tax and refunds, and the vendor states a 14-day refund window on the pricing page itself rather than burying it in terms.
