AI2sql is a text-to-SQL assistant aimed at the analyst or founder who knows exactly what question they want answered but not the dialect quirks needed to answer it. You describe the query in plain English and it returns SQL, but the product is broader than generation alone: it also explains an existing query line by line, fixes errors in a query that will not run, optimises one that runs too slowly, and formats messy SQL into something reviewable. A separate CSV mode lets you upload a spreadsheet and ask questions against it without setting up a database at all, and a data-insight generator suggests angles of analysis when you are not sure what to look for yet. The important design choice is that AI2sql is schema-aware and read-only by default — it reads your table structure so generated SQL references real columns rather than plausible-sounding invented ones, and it will not mutate data unless you take it out of that mode. Dialect coverage widens with the plan: SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL on the entry tier, then Oracle, MongoDB and BigQuery, then MariaDB, Redshift and SnowSQL.
