How to Cancel HeyGen (Creator / Team / Enterprise) (2026)
Cancel from Settings → Subscription on the web app. The two things to handle first are credits, which do not survive the cycle, and your custom avatar, which is the asset you actually paid to build.

HeyGen's value is concentrated in the custom avatar and voice clone you trained, not in the monthly credits — and avatar creation is gated to paid tiers. Cancel and you keep the videos you rendered, but the ability to generate new footage from that avatar goes with the plan, which is a much bigger loss than the credits. The second trap is per-seat team billing: on a Team plan the workspace owner holds the subscription, so removing yourself from the workspace does nothing to the charge. Credits also do not roll over between cycles.

Export the finals rather than relying on the project list. Watermark-free downloads are a paid entitlement, so a video re-exported after downgrade is not the same file you have now.

Click your workspace avatar in the top corner and choose Settings, then the Subscription or Plan tab. On a Team plan this control is visible only to the workspace owner or an admin.
