It's a one-time fee, not a subscription, and the listing doesn't expire.
Why isn't there a cheaper paid tier?
There was — $39, sold purely as "skip the review queue" — and we retired it on 2026-08-19. Measured against our own records right now, 109 of the last 138 submissions were decided within 24 hours, at a median of about 2 hours. A tier whose entire pitch was speed couldn't be honestly priced against a queue moving that fast, so we cut it rather than keep charging for it. The tail is real, though: right now 4 submissions are still waiting, the oldest for 16 days. Verified is the only way to be certain you are not the one in it. Verified is a different purchase: the badge is permanent and visible to every buyer and every AI assistant that reads the grid, and publishing within minutes of payment comes with it.

Yes. Every listing — free, Verified or Featured — includes a permanent dofollow link back to your site from a relevant AI tools directory; the link is never held behind the paywall. What's your refund policy?
Because listings publish instantly and are yours to keep permanently, we don't offer refunds once a listing is live. If something's broken on our end — payment succeeded but no listing appeared — email shibley@apistatuscheck.com and we'll fix it or refund you, no argument.
Can I edit my listing after it's live?
Yes — email shibley@apistatuscheck.com with the changes (description, pricing, features, logo) and we'll update it.
What's the difference between this and Featured?
A directory listing (free or $79 Verified) gets you in with search/category visibility, permanently, for a one-time price or nothing at all. Featured plans (from $19/mo) are a subscription that adds priority placement, a Featured badge, and — on higher tiers — homepage placement and a dedicated review article.
